Apostille for Armenia
Armenia Apostille is needed when one fetches a job or residence permit in Armenia. Armenia is not like other gulf countries. It accepts Apostille procedure as well. You have to follow Armenia MEA Apostille procedure, however it is time-consuming and documentation is difficult as well, specifically when one requires attestation of Armenia on a degree certificate. Companies ask their employees to complete the apostille procedure. These procedures are detailed below.
Apostille for Armenia
Armenia Sultanate accepts apostille of any documents or certificates. The procedure is similar as SDM apostille or HRD Apostille. It can be done on documents or certificates which can’t get HRD from concerned state.
The procedure is explained below
- On any kind of degree certificate, HRD from local secretariat is mandatory (in case of private certificates, this is not mandatory)
- Once HRD is done, Apostille from Ministry of External Affairs is accepted by Armenia.
- On birth, marriage or Death certificates, local HRD is not mandatory. Also Notary Mantralaya HRD would substitute local HRD
- Then the certificate is submitted for Apostille or MEA approval
- At last, attestation will be done by Armenia.
Time required for the process
- Normal procedure up to Apostille might take between 3 and 5 days
- Fast process up to Apostille might take between 2 and 3 days
- Normal procedure for Embassy Attestation is between 15 and 20 days. However, this does not include educational certificates.
- Fast procedure for Embassy Attestation might take between 10 and 15 days. However, this does not include educational certificates.
Please Note
- If Apostille is on a certificate then there is no requirement for Armenia Embassy Attestation. And, in a similar way, if certificates have Armenia Embassy Attestation then Apostille is not required.

Armenia Apostille Attestation
Requirements are mentioned below:
- Original highest degree duly? Authenticated? By the HRD of state. It is advised to get degree attested on the basis of job that you get.
- Photocopy of passport (both front as well as back pages)
- Copies of machete of all semesters
- Copy of offer letter
When you submit certificates to MEA, it further asks for verification from the concerned universities. Verification request is sent to the university to which it has to reply. Embassy culture Department attests the documents only if it founds verification correct.
