Apostille for Panama
Panama Sultanate accepts apostille of any documents or certificates. The procedure is similar as SDM apostille or HRD Apostille. It can be done on documents or certificates which can’t get HRD from concerned state.
The procedure is explained below
- On any kind of degree certificate, HRD from local secretariat is mandatory (in case of private certificates, this is not mandatory)
- Once HRD is done, Apostille from Ministry of External Affairs is accepted by Panama Embassy
- On birth, marriage or Death certificates, local HRD is not mandatory. Also Notary Mantralaya HRD would substitute local HRD
- Then the certificate is submitted for Apostille or MEA approval
- At last, attestation will be done by Panama Embassy
Time required for the process
- Normal procedure up to Apostille might take between 12 and 18 days
- Fast process up to Apostille might take between 7 and 10 days
- Normal procedure for Embassy Attestation is between 15 and 20 days. However, this does not include educational certificates.
- Fast procedure for Embassy Attestation might take between 10 and 15 days. However, this does not include educational certificates.
Please Note
- If Apostille is on a certificate then there is no requirement for Panama Embassy Attestation. And, in a similar way, if certificates have Panama Embassy Attestation then Apostille is not required.
